Redefining Real-Time Relevance with Rokt Merger

We're thrilled to announce a strategic US$300 million merger with Rokt, a global leader in ecommerce, to create an unparalleled offering that unlocks real-time relevance across ecommerce, advertising, and customer experience. This partnership unites mParticle’s powerful real-time customer data platform (CDP) with Rokt’s expertise in bringing relevance to ecommerce transaction moments, enabling businesses to unleash their customer data's potential fully. As part of this merger, we're doubling the total investment into the CDP to accelerate innovation and deliver on mParticle's product roadmap.

Over the years, we've seen remarkable results from our joint clients. Across billions of ecommerce transactions, businesses using mParticle and Rokt together have achieved up to 50% better consumer and business outcomes. As Bruce Buchanan, CEO and co-founder of Rokt, said: "This merger will enable us to bring significant performance lift to all of our clients. At mParticle, our mission has always been to simplify customer data management and empower multi-channel brands to create meaningful connections with their customers. Together, we’re committed to ensuring that brands maintain complete control of their first-party data  and upholding our shared data privacy and compliance standards. As part of this merger, mParticle's founders will remain integral to the business. Michael Katz will continue as CEO of mParticle, Andrew Katz will become Chief Technology Officer of Rokt to lead innovation and data security across all products, and Jason Lynn will remain Chief Product Officer of mParticle. All three will also join the Rokt Executive team.

This merger follows a year of significant growth and new initiatives for Rokt. At the start of 2024, Rokt announced the acquisition of AfterSell and the launch of its new generative AI tool, ACE, which helps advertisers maximize their return on ad spend. In addition, Rokt announced key appointments to the executive team, including Jacqueline Purcell as Chief Financial Officer and Claire Southey as Chief Product Development Officer.
