mParticle named one of Inc. magazine’s Best Workplaces for 2019

Latest award recognizes mParticle’s dedication to its employees as it continues rapid expansion.

NEW YORK, May 17, 2019 — mParticle, the leading Customer Data Platform (CDP) for multi-channel consumer brands, today announced that it has been named one of Inc. magazine’s Best Workplaces for 2019. This recognition follows other, numerous accolades mParticle has received for its unique culture, commitment to its staff, and transparent work environment.

mParticle earned an overall score of 92.18, out of 100 points, and nearly 97 percent of surveyed employees reported that they are engaged by their work.

At inception, mParticle’s co-founding team set out to craft a culture that would give it a competitive advantage as the business scaled. The emphasis was to identify and reward behaviors that would ensure quality and preserve the founding values over time. As mParticle has doubled headcount year-over-year for the past several years, the culture that was established before the product launched has served as the bedrock of success.

“Businesses at scale are all about people. Attracting and retaining the best talent, and providing a canvas for extraordinary employees to do great work, has always been at the foundation of our success,” said Michael Katz, CEO & Co-founder of mParticle. “It’s an honor to receive industrywide recognition from Inc. for something that we care so deeply about.”

This designation from Inc. follows numerous other accolades mParticle has received for its exceptional workplace, including being named a Crain’s Best Workplace for three consecutive years (2016-2018), acknowledgement by Business Insider as one of 2018’s hottest marketing technology companies, and international coverage of our innovative Pawternity program that was prominently featured on NBC’s Today show.

Inc.’s Best Workplaces is the result of a comprehensive measurement of private American companies that have cultivated outstanding workplaces. Collecting data on nearly 2,000 submissions, Inc. singled out 346 finalists. Each nominated company took part in an employee survey — conducted by Quantum Workplace — that confronted various topics, including: Trust, management effectiveness, perks and confidence in the future. From there, Inc. analyzed the data and then ranked all nominations using a composite score of survey results.

"With today's tight labor market, building a great corporate culture is more important than ever,” says Inc. magazine editor in chief James Ledbetter. “The companies on Inc.'s Best Workplaces list are setting an example that the whole country can learn from."
